TagsWeekly News,
This week news about The Finnish Game Industry is led by Film Tampere’s cooperation with India’s GDAI, alongside encouraging updates from Finland’s listed game companies. Inderes expects CONTROL Resonant to drive strong growth in Remedy’s Q3 report on 3 November, while Nitro Games reports an improved nine-month operating result, supported by a loan repayment waiver, and announces a new agreement with Team17. Rovio’s Angry Birds keep on flying: the official YouTube channel has passed ten million subscribers. Good vibes are also coming from Kotka, with Social First’s Pixel Worlds reportedly ranking ninth globally in AppMagic’s October sandbox revenue ranking. Finnish games are gaining traction on Steam, too: Finnish Games Week’s campaign featured 385 games and generated over 400,000 unique interactions with games, while Frostrail and Finnish-published Arctic Drive were among Steam Next Fest’s 50 most-played demos. And new Finnish releases keep coming. Since games also need funding, a final reminder: Get Funded takes place on 4 November. On-site places are almost sold out, but the free livestream has room for everyone.
